 Not quite perfect Nov 16, 2009
I so wanted to love this light. I love the idea of two light settings. I love that it basically covers all of the kindle reading page - but NO REPLACEMENT BATTERIES? The thing is so easy to turn on, if you carry it with you, it can accidentally turn on, thereby burning out your light and having to purchase a whole new unit, rather than just replacement batteries.
How sad. Otherwise, I loved it.

Bought this for my daughter. She likes it very much. Extremely flexible, enormous amount of light for the size of the head....

It is a great price, the clip is strong and will nicely fit on a thin surface as well as a thicker surface. The pink color is really nice, although it is available in other colors. There are 2 light bulbs so you can have different levels of light. It's soft enough not to be hard on your eyes, but bright enough to really work well, even providing enough light to read in the dark. The flex neck is really skinny and can be twisted in tons of directions to fit any situation. I am using mine for my kindle, and highly recommed this for that, as it works on my open cover, or on the kindle with the cover folded back. I have been using it almost nightly for about 4 weeks now, and it works good as new. I LOVE this light!

Great Gift Idea May 13, 2009
I bought a purple light with the adaptor. My main desire was to use it to read during my morning carpool commute to work. I loved this product so much that I bought three as gifts and am ready to buy one more.
There are three versions of this light offered for sale. One is just the light. One includes an adaptor. One includes batteries. The light does require 3 AAA batteries if the adaptor is not being used. I've found it available in blue, green, silver, black, purple and pink.
I have been using this light for over a month and am still using the same batteries. I have yet to use the adaptor. The batteries are more convenient for me. I had purchased rechargable batteries and a charge but haven't broken into them yet.
There are two lights on this product and three light settings. The left, right or both lights can be used. The neck is flexible so that it is easy to move to a position that actually sheds light on the entire page (if not two pages). It is bright. My husband still complains when I read in bed with it...however, it doesn't bother my carpool driver.
The clip is large and will easily attach to hardcovers. I usually clip it to the top of the pages that I've already read. When reading mass market paperbacks, I try to clip it to as large of a hunk of pages as possible because I don't like the light to move around.
A very useful product. Make sure to buy only what you need. As I did pay extra for an adaptor and just don't use it at all.

this is a really great book light and works with the kindle 2. there are two light levels, and clips easily to my kindle 2 case/cover. the battery cover is easy to open and close. it uses 3 AAA batteries which are easy to obtain so no obscure batteries to find. the flexible neck on the light is very well fashioned. all in all this is a great reading light.
